Islamophobes train Oklahoma law enforcement

As a pioneer in the nationwide trend to prohibit judges from considering Shariah law in their cases, Oklahoma has earned a reputation among many Muslims as a state that is hostile to them and their faith. Things may get worse before they get better. The state’s Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training has hired two noted Islasmophobes, retired general William G. “Jerry” Boykin and Frank Gaffney, a former U.S. State Department official during the Reagan administration, to train law officers on Nov. 1 at a special training seminar at the State legislature. Boykin has said Islam should not have First Amendment protection, and that interfaith dialogue with Muslims is impossible, while the Southern Poverty Law Center has called Gaffney the anti-Islam movement’s most paranoid propagandist. The seminar is sponsored by the Oklahoma House Counter-terrorism Caucus. Sadly, as I’ve noted in earlier posts, and as Washington Monthly thoroughly reported, this kind of thing happens often.

Shariah and communism coming to New York

New York City is on its way to becoming a bastion of Shariah and communism. At least according to Pamela Geller, executive director of Stop the Islamization of America, who warns that New York City mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio is in cahoots with communists and jihadis, and has started a “Stop Red Bill” campaign, which includes bus ads that will roll around the Big Apple during the last week of the campaign.  Geller pointed out that her press conference unveiling the campaign was ignored by t he mainstream media, although New York Magazine did cover Geller’s umbrage. For de Blasio, I guess its “with enemies like these, who needs friends.”

Driver boots Muslim boy from New York bus

Hoping it would help him find his fare card, a 10-year-old Muslim boy from Brooklyn rendered a short, common prayer. He found his card, but the driver, at hearing the Arabic, expelled the boy from the bus and drove off. “He’s a young boy but he’s old enough to know what discrimination is,”  said a lawyer for the family, which has filed a lawsuit against the MTA.

GOP women in Florida welcome Islamophobic prof

Call it the Sunshine Hate.  The Orlando Republican Women’s Network is hosting Jonathan Matusitz, a Belgian-born bigot and communications professor from the University of Central Florida whose specializations including demonizing all Muslims as terrorists.  His enlightening insights include”Muslims procreate like mushrooms after rain” and that they are taught to hate from the cradle. Minnesota school district bars Islamophobic speaker

Bagley (Minn.) School District Superintendent Steve Cairns told Usama Dakdok, a traveling anti-Islamic lecturer, that he would not be able to use a local high school auditorium to deliver three lectures about, in his view, the evils of Islam. Why? Because it would violate federal anti-discrimination and harassment laws. Instead, discrimination and harassment will go on legally at the Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Bagley, which will host Dakdok. The Egyptian-born Dakdok says “There is no good Muslim…Every Muslim is a demon.” But don’t get the idea that all Christians in Bagley approve of Dakdok’s message.

Conservatives fall for fake Shariah story, again

A satirical article on the satirical website National Report, headlined “City in Michigan First to Fully Implement Shariah Law,” sparked so many genuinely angry phone calls that the city in question, Dearborn, had to issue a very real statement denying the article. Dearborn mayor John B. O’Reilly said the story “has ended up fooling people in part because it mirrors allegations made by others in the past with less than humorous intentions.” In early October, Fox News bit on a National Report story reporting that President Barack HUSSEIN Obama would help fund a Muslim cultures museum. The report, the one from Fox, helped the real International Museum of Muslim Cultures, in Mississippi. Once again, with enemies like these…

Mosques vandals arrested

Laughing at ignorance

When a Malaysian court ruled recently that only Muslims had the right to use the word “Allah,” Muslims around the world were taken aback, including Muslim-American-Iranian scholar Reza Aslan, who said, “This notion that Malaysian Muslims need to be protected by the court because you can’t think for yourself, you can’t make decisions on your own. We are laughing at you.”

Saudi blogger freed

Saudi Arabia freed a news columnist and blogger who was arrested and jailed without charge after tweeting a comment deemed insulting to Prophet Muhammad. But Saudi Arabia also arrested a lawyer for signing a petition critical of what it deemed lengthy prison sentences and harsh punishments.
